Our Distinguished History
Chesabar has
been breeding prize-winning Chesapeake Bay Retrievers for show,
obedience, hunting and family companionship since 1983. Patsy and Rudy
have owned Chesapeake Bay Retrievers since 1971.
Chesabar
dogs (affectionately termed the
"Kids") have amassed many American and Canadian show
championships, obedience titles, Canine Good Citizenship (CGC)
titles and hunting retriever titles.
Chesabar Kids
were featured in a National TV Commercial for Pedigree dog food,
as well as magazine ads, some promoting Pedigree dog food.
Chesabar Kids
have appeared in at least four books and magazines.
Chesabar Kids
are National Specialty Winners in the United States as well as
Canada.
Chesabar dogs continue to prove that a good
looking dog can also be bred to behave and to hunt.
Our Kennel Profile
The family at Chesabar takes great
pride in our 22 years of breeding championship Chesapeake Bay
Retrievers. We continually prove that a good looking dog can
be bred to behave and to hunt.
We take personal pride in the many
American and Canadian show championships, obedience titles, Canine
Good Citizenship titles and hunting retriever titles awarded
to our dogs.

All Chesabar puppies receive a complete

the first in a series of three puppy shots. All puppies also
receive four worm treatments before they go to their new homes.
Our Breeder's Pride
"I take a great deal
of personal pride in each one of my dogs. My Chesabar dogs are
outstanding examples of the Chesapeake breed, especially in temperament."
