Chesabar's Charge and Return

Mimi if from the breeding of Decoy to Gidget and she is her mother's daughter.  She is about 22 1/2" at the shoulders, but weighs in at a solid 68lbs.  Confirmation-wise, she is an outstanding example of the breed: Well angled and balanced, with good layback of shoulder, short back, deep and wide chest and great spring of rib, all combining into beautiful movement.  She has pretty and feminine head, long graceful neck and perfect ears like her grandma Buttercup.

In the field she is a tireless and driven retriever...very birdy with an outstanding nose, while in the house she is calm and very easy to live with.
Besides retrieving, her favorite thing to do is curl up in your lap on the sofa at TV time.

In limited showing, Mimi has three majors towards her championship (needs 1 point to finish), including receiving winners bitch at the 2011 national specialty over an entry of nearly 90.  She also has a bred by exhibitor sporting group first place.

Mimi has an outstanding temperament and gets along well with people and other dogs. Mimi is CERF, OFA Good - Hips, Elbows, PRA/EIC Clear.

Pond Hollow Bryce Canyon

BRYCE, an up-and-coming young male from Pond Hollow Kennels found success in the show ring at an early age. He debuted at 6 mos. and was BW/WD at the NCCCBR Specialty 2010 for a 4 pt. major. He also was Best of Opp Sweeps at the same show. In January he won Best in Sweeps at an ACC Supported entry and also was Reserve Winners Dog.  At the 2011 National Specialty he won Best in Sweepstakes and received a second place in the Bred By class.

Bryce's litter brother has his SH title and a leg towards his MH, as well as, several Field Trial placements.

Bryce is well endowed with forechest that is balanced with a well bent rear. He has a pleasing head with proper ear set and shape. His coat is thick and wavy. Movement is ground covering and sound.  His personality is easy to live with-calm but athletic.

OFA Prelim Excellent, CERF, PRA/DM/EIC clear.

Mystic Grit

Ch. Chesabar's Mystic of Cal-i-co

Mystic was reserve winners bitch at the 2006 ACC National Specialty.

Mystic is my "little talker" she is always "woo-wooing".  When I answer "mommy loves you, go play," she runs off to join her buddies Jamie, Jersey and Faith. Mystic is medium brown and about 70 lbs with a gorgeous woolly coat and a neat personality. Loves to be with family and loves children.  She definitely loves when you say "treat".

OFA Good, PRA normal, recent CERF.

Ch. Chesabar's True Grit

Grit is handsome young male from the breeding of Buttercup (Ch. Chesabar's Flashback) to True (Ch Pondhollow Truewithem).  He is nicely balanced, medium sized, with an outstanding coat and a happy and outgoing disposition.

Grit was the #1 dog in 2008 and 2010 and won both the American Chesapeake Club National Specialty and National Capital City Chesapeake Club Specialty.  Prior to retiring from the show ring in 2011, he was BOB at Westminster.

Rose Grit

Chesabar's Moonlight and Roses

Rose is a petite girl; she weighs about 62 pounds and is about 22” at the shoulders. She is a lot like her father Coupe with a laid back personality with a good temperment. Her favorite spot in the house is cuddling on the sofa next to you.  She loves to give kisses and hugs and will give you a smile when she sees you or when she hears her name.   She will give it her all on whatever you put in front of her. She is at home in both the show ring and out in the field.  She loves to retrieve whether it is a toy or a bird.

Rose is good with other dogs of all sizes. She is DM normal, cerf, elbows clear, hips clear.
